Job Summary

Receives general direction from the Technical Operations Manager to program and support test system development for automotive electronics.

Job Description

  • Interpret test results. Compile data and generate test reports accurately and on time.
  • Provides guidance to test technicians to set-up equipment, test articles in order to prepare for and execute tests.
  • Support test preparations by systematical identifying equipment and instrumentational needs and then interacting with other groups in order to acquire, purchase and fabricate such items.
  • Apply industrial standards and test procedures
  • Execute test in a professional and timely manner, consistent with general laboratory practices
  • Convert customer requirements into detail, logical and practical projects and test plans.
  • Exercise creativity and flexibility to develop detailed and well thought custom tests and associated procedures.
  • Define problems collect data, establish facts, and make specific recommendations

Experience:

  • 5+ years' in testing environment
  • Test system development experience with LabView programming language and test system integration experience with electronic assembly

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • LabView programming
  • Experience with LEAN manufacturing and its principles.
  • Strong technical skills as related to testing equipment.
  • Ability to learn, understand and adhere to all applicable safety precautions and procedures.

Scope of Supervision: N/A

Travel Required: up to 10%
