Job Description

S&C Health Services maintains a modern Occupational Health Clinic as part of the Human Resources Organization to support employee health, safety and wellness efforts. The clinic also provides administrative support and is staffed by Occupational Health Nurses, a Sr. Health Services Administrator and the Manager-Health Services.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Interacting, both in person and on the phone, with individuals seeking services from Health Services.

Assist in the delivery of services such as scheduling post-offer physicals, support the notification and scheduling of random drug screening, scheduling participants assigned to various medical surveillance or Health Services programs, etc.

Assisting with the maintenance of electronic medical records including data entry of clinic appointments, select program participation (i.e. flu or vision program participation, etc.) and timely scanning and filing of all appropriate paper copies of documents. Assist with creating and forwarding of workers' compensation, STD, FMLA, and Health Services clinic electronic medical record system metric reports to supervision.

Identify and incorporate process improvements and tools supporting lean office training, 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives to include any tasks assigned by HS manager.

Provide triage support for Walk-In Clinic Service.

Schedule and facilitate the Vision Program, safety eyeglass repair and delivery.

Assists with STD/FMLA program administration/documentation. Work with employees to ensure compliance with program.

Under the direction of the Manager - Health Services, process invoices for services and record work-related expenses, interface with physician offices regarding billing; interface with employee on case status, maintain associated records, forward copies of medical and legal case documents to S&C attorney. Copy and forward subpoenaed legal documents to S&C attorney.

Maintain and enter data for electronic medical record systems and all related reporting requirements for IMS, Medgate and Intelex

Update assigned HS communication board; compose health related employee communications upon request.

Support US Fabrication as needed.

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:

Basic knowledge of procedures related to medical office administrative responsibilities, and medical information systems. Basic knowledge of electronic medical record systems preferred.

Demonstrate basic understanding and ability to complete and maintain accuracy of electronic medical record system fields.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with a genuine eagerness to serve customers. Fluency in a second language preferred. Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office, Access, and Oracle and HRIS software.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to take initiative in a fast-paced work environment.

Relevant Work Experience:
Experience performing medical clinic related administrative support.

MAJOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Lifting: Physical demands normally associated with office environment and administration.

Walking: Frequent need to walk up to 100 feet.

Reaching: Frequent need to access clinic supply and filing cabinets, including lower drawers at floor level.

Handling: Frequent handling of clinic supplies, mail including UPS/FedEx boxes, team member personal medical files, and workers compensation case files etc.

Other: Frequent use of PC keyboard and mouse. Frequent use of telephone.
