Overview

The Senior Enterprise Data Governance Manager (DGO), Global Business Systems is responsible for the successful deployment of AIT's Data Enablement framework with a focus on data ownership, management and protection of data through policies, standards, principles, governance metrics, processes and related tools. This role also supports DGO roll out of multi-domains with an emphasis to continually build, support and enhance our Core Pillars applying best practice dynamic methodology, roadmap and associated playbooks substantiating our hybrid federated data governing structure.

Responsibilities
    As part of AIT's exciting Data Enablement (Governance) Office (DEO) team, successfully deploy AIT's Data Enablement framework, with a focus on data ownership, management and the protection of data through policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, and related tools.
  • Support DEO in implementing multiple domains, with an emphasis to continually build, support and enhance our Core Pillars
  • Implement best practices via dynamic methodology, roadmap and associated playbooks to support our hybrid federated data-enabling structure
  • Deliver improvements across regulatory and legal compliance, data quality, enhanced efficiency, and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organization behavior, policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, and related tools.
  • Work with Domain Owners, Business & Technical Stewards, to ensure that data related business requirements for managing data are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood.
  • The wage range for this position is $85,655.00 - $146,515.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
Qualifications

Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field; Required
  • Master's Degree Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field; Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • 7+ years Recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME) with at least 7-10 years of significant experience in a data governance discipline and deep knowledge of MDM, DQM, data integration, Ai/ML or data management; practical understanding of MDM technology Customers, Suppliers, Financial, Products, Services, Operations and end-user strategies. Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Hands-on experiences with any of these would be ideal (Collibra, Talend, Alation, Reltio, Stibo, Ataccama, Informatica, Databricks, Snowflake, PowerBI, Tableau). (High proficiency)
  • Proven experience designing and driving Data Governance & Ai Governance programs with solid hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge in core data governance practices, methodology and roadmaps including business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets, and approaches related to data usage and protection in a multi-domain environment (High proficiency)
  • Manage senior relationships across all the business and functional areas. Influence process with a lens for driving initiatives and behavior towards becoming a data-driven organization (High proficiency)
  • Lead Data Governance COP (Community of Practice) of Users Groups to discuss, share and promote data governing practices and knowledge. (Medium proficiency)
  • Knowledge or/and hands-on experience with PMO (Waterfall or Agile methodology) essential. Knowledge with logistics operations ideal, not required (Medium proficiency)
  • Articulate the vision of transformation efforts, a sense of mission and resilient in manifold ways to achieve targets and goals. (Medium proficiency)
  • Stay current with emerging data management or governing trends, techniques and technology and related legal and regulatory requirements (Low proficiency)
  • Exceptional skills in the art of negotiation and influencing others while demonstrating the ability to influence without authority. (Medium proficiency)
  • Possess strong proficiency for articulating data concepts across and between both business-focused and our technology-based partners and colleagues. (Medium proficiency)
