The Senior Software Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Franklin, WI will analyze, design, develop, deploy, and support software solutions, infrastructure implementations, and upgrades. Application programming in .Net languages (C#, VB .Net) based on business requirements. Upgrade, configure, and debug existing systems, provide technical support for web, desktop, or mobile applications, and write clean, scalable code. Use ASP.Net framework, SQL Server and design and architectural patterns including Model-View-Controller (MVC) and architecture styles and APIs including REST, RPC to develop solutions for Insurance applications. Ensure coding standards were maintained and automated unit test cases are included using test driven methodology. Utilize Java Script, JQuery, HTML, and CSS. Prepare technical design documents throughout software development life cycle (SDLC) and advise teams developing modernized applications by rewriting business functionality. Participate in scrum team meetings is Safe agile and work on continuous development and continuous integration changes for code maintenance and automated deployment. Collaborate with Release Management, Quality Control Management to ensure application software changes are deployed in test, stage and production environments using standard processes followed. Utilize .Net Framework, Core, ASP.NET, C#, VB .Net, ADO.NET, and LINQ. Analyze design options to create stories in Jira and provide estimates for feature implementation. Telecommuting permitted 2 days per week. Salary $108,568- $203,840 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation. Experience must include 2 years with each of the following: (1) .Net Framework, Core, ASP.NET, C#, VB .Net, ADO.NET, and LINQ; (2) SQL Server or SYBASE; (3) Java Script, JQuery, HTML, and CSS; (4) SOAP, REST Web service frameworks, and Object oriented principles; (5) AWS and Azure; (6) Jira, HPSM, and Service now; (7) Node.JS and Serverless deployment; and (8) CICD pipelines and tools including GIT TFS, GitHub, and SonarQube.
