The Service Engineer is responsible for trouble shooting, problem solving, and working with the quality process to minimize the downtime of our remanufactured construction equipment products. This team will provide feedback to our global manufacturing headquarters (located in Japan) of trends and patterns of the construction equipment that may be related to the North American market applications or product quality (Ex: defect in material/workmanship). The Service Engineer will work with the Quality team and investigate the root cause of certain failures and work through the countermeasures process to ensure product quality. This position is responsible for determining the differences between a defect in material/workmanship or if the failure was an end user (customer/operator) error. The Service Engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting a failure. Will use their analytical and problem-solving skills to review failure trends and determine the root cause.
