Job Description

This NEW position at Heritage Behavioral Health Center as an Human Resources Recruiter aims to address healthcare workforce shortages and assist leaders in filling crucial vacant positions at Heritage. The HR Recruiter will play a key role by promptly screening telephone calls for applicants within one business day of application, conducting structured first interviews, and coordinating second interviews with relevant leaders. The HR Specialist's goal is to expedite recruitment processes and alleviate the recruitment burden from our leaders. This is an on-site position, working Monday thru Friday each week.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand the specific needs and requirements of each position. This involves discussing job descriptions, candidate profiles, and recruitment strategies to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Review resumes, applications, and other candidate materials to identify individuals who meet the qualifications and requirements.
  • Manage the recruitment process and monitor every stage of application tracking, ensuring review of all new applications within one business day, and completion of phone screens/interviews within two business days.
  • Complete structured first interview (in person) to assess candidates' skills, experience, and suitability for the role.
  • Schedule and coordinate second interviews between candidates and hiring managers or interview panels. This involves managing communication between all parties, ensuring that interviews are conducted efficiently and expeditiously.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing updates, answering questions, and addressing concerns. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for candidates and strive to create positive experiences for all applicants.
  • Ensure thorough follow-up on all team interviews and guide applicants through the pre-hire process, while providing weekly status updates to clinical leaders regarding any pending hires.
  • Follow up with applicants who were not selected or screened out.
  • Develops recruitment strategies in coordination with Chief Officers to fill vacancies.
  • Assists interested candidates with questions related to the application process, qualifications, current vacancies.
  • Attend community job fairs and university career days to connect with potential candidates.
  • Track recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, candidate conversion rates, and source effectiveness to evaluate the success of recruitment efforts. Recruiters also maintain accurate records and documentation related to candidate interactions and interviews to ensure compliance with EEO guidelines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with candidates and collaborating with internal teams.
  • Ability to conduct effective interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Understanding of healthcare industry dynamics, including regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Teamwork and collaboration abilities to work closely with hiring managers and Human Resources to achieve recruitment goals.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced recruitment environment.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Service or business field required; Master's degree preferred;
  • 5 years of experience in a behavioral health/social service setting;
  • Experience with automated recruitment systems desired;
  • Understanding of the wide array of services a behavioral health organization provides;
  • Ability to represent Heritage in a positive way which is consistent with our mission and values;
  • Maintain a professional image as a representative of Heritage;
  • Support the agency's mission to strengthen staff engagement in order to create a quality workforce;
  • The ability to relate with a positive demeanor to a wide variety of customers, both internal and external;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Ability to work as a team player;
  • Solid organizational skills;
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft software (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
