Job Summary/General Purpose of Job

  • Accountable for the provision of specific operational oversight of the development and potential deployment of CLE (Continuing Legal Education) programming and other entity educational programming for an assigned section or entity.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)

  • Provides specific operational oversight of the development and potential deployment of CLE programming and other entity educational programming, including coordinating with speakers, scheduling sessions, managing registrations for the section.
  • Serves as a point of contact with members, leadership, and staff in developing CLE programing, podcasts, and webinars, including reporting on progress and results and ensuring compliance with ABA policies.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Oversees the submission of MCLE, programing, speaker administration and invitations.
  • Analyzes project/program performance throughout the process to ensure projects move forward in a productive manner.
  • Accountable for maintaining, reporting, and preparing corrective action plans related to an assigned, approved budget.
  • Collaborates with staff activities supporting marketing and communications efforts.
  • Responsible for assisting with on-site logistics for meetings.
  • Travel to and administer on-site meeting/event logistics.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Required Education, Qualifications, Experience

  • Possession of a high school diploma or GED and at least three years' relevant professional experience.
  • Prior experience working with programs or projects, preferably in an association or non-profit setting.
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Preferred Education, Qualifications, Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Basic level skill in Cvent and Personify (membership database) a plus.
  • Prior experience, preferably in an association or non-profit setting.

Extent of Travel Required in the Job

  • As a normal course of business, this job will typically require travel of up to 15% of the time.
