Description

TheChaplain-PASTORAL CREreflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Visits and assesses spiritual needs of patients.Provides spiritual and emotional supportto patients, families and personnel at times of crisis and in difficult situations. Provides opportunities for the reception of Sacraments,Eucharist andfor the emergency administration of the Sacrament of Baptism.

This position is casual (non-benefited).

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited college or university preferred.Must be a compassionate individual with empathy for patients, family and staff as well as a good listener and be able to handle/deal effectively with people in an emergency situation.Experience in spiritual care in a health care setting is also preferred.Must be committed to working as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
