Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a qualified professional to join our team as a Senior Quality Assurance Software Tester with Selenium. This full-time position is in support of the United States Military Entrance Processing Command (USMEPCOM).

Location: N. Chicago, IL (Great Lakes Region). Hybrid role, allowing for telework 2 days per week and a requirement to be on-site 3 days per week.

In this role, you will:

    Provide assurance and testing support to the Application Operations teams.
  • Create, maintain, and manage test plans, test suites, estimates, test artifacts and test cases within a test management system for manual and / or automated testing.
  • Execute manual and automated testing using documented test cases per the test plan.
  • Work with modern automation frameworks for web and mobile application.
  • Report / track bugs identified until they are closed for every software release.
  • Work / Interface with various team members, teams, and customer counterparts.
  • Provide / maintain a customer service-oriented approach with colleagues / customer.
  • Work with and train clients as required (testing, test plans, automation, etc.)

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree and 12 years of relevant experience, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or other IT related discipline. Or, a Master's degree and 10 years of relavent experience. An additional 4 years may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 12 years of hands-on experience as a tester working with Agile software development teams.
  • 5 years of experience using Selenium; performing automated scripting.
  • Experience/expertise with Selenium, AWS cloud architecture, Java, JIRA, Postman, and Confluence tools.
  • Software testing practices for web applications.
  • Manual and automated testing experience; ability to write test scripts then be able to evaluate the results of those tests.
  • Experience preparing test reports for senior leadership.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both in and with technical and business settings.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree.
  • Previous experience supporting the DoD.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
