Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the guidance of the Vice President of IT, this position plays a crucial role in enhancing the company's decision-making capabilities through the development, implementation, and management of BI reports and dashboards as well as other custom-built applications. This position demands close collaboration with IT team members, as well as engagement with various business units including but not limited to Finance, Accounting and Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards as well as other corporate systems to aid decision making
  • Write DAX queries and M code for complex business requirements
  • Help to design, build and enhance ETL and data management functionality
  • Develop web applications using Angular, C#, and HTML.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
  • Leverage data across system boundaries to develop analytics used to make decisions and report to stakeholders
  • Engage directly with end users and managers to gather requirements and model business processes
  • Work in partnership with other technology team members to integrate systems and design new systems
  • Identify new opportunities for process improvement and automation
  • Act in accordance with the values of the company and complies with all company processes and procedures
  • Completes other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) strongly preferred; Candidate without a degree are required to have 3+ years of related.
  • Significant experience with Power BI and DAX - Microsoft Fabric a plus
  • Significant experience with T-SQL, relational databases and data warehouse design
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Azure, SQL Server, and SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Experience with source control technologies (git) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Enterprise)
  • Experience with front-end web development technologies: Angular, Typescript, HTML, CSS
  • Experience with back-end web development (C#/.NET) a plus
  • Experience with the Power Platform, specifically Power Apps and Power Automate a plus
  • Ability to work with users to gather system requirements, document those needs and create and efficient system design
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible with respect to work schedule; able to travel when required.
