We are looking for candidate(s) for GIS Architect/Developer position(s). The ideal candidate will have experience in the Esri GIS technology stack. We have a specific opening for a resource working with the Illinois Department of Transportation to help manage the GIS infrastructure, data workflows, and GIS strategic planning.

Desired Job Requirements:

Knowledge of geospatial concepts and conducting geospatial analyses
• Understanding of the Esri software stack in the context for Information Technology including hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing (Microsoft Azure or AWS).
• Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology.
• Professional working knowledge of the Esri platform, tools, APIs, interfaces.
• Experience developing with Python in the Esri environment
• Experience working with ArcGIS Enterprise
• Experience working with ArcGIS Online
• Development experience with ArcGIS mobile tools, ArcGIS Dashboards, Survey 123, Workforce for ArcGIS or ArcGIS Insights recommended
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate technical information in non-technical settings
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Self-starter strong ability to work ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and colleagues in a team environment (both on-site and remote).

Desired Experience/Skills:

• 3+ years of experience with Esri technology.
• Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design.
• Programming and scripting experience with languages such as Python, SQL, and JavaScript.

• The ability to interact with clients to gather requirements, identify solutions and implement those solutions.
• Bachelor's or master's in geography, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Ability to perform a variety of professional work in the analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of an enterprise and/or web (i.e. AGOL) GIS
• Provide development and analysis to the needs and requirements of the client
• Identify problems, objectives, and goals; examine alternatives and develop conclusions and recommendations
