Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing very large customer opportunities, including RFPs, for an assigned Sales area. Works closely with Sales to provide guidance and direction on how RRD needs to respond to the RFP. Works closely with the Estimating teams to pull together the pricing response to the opportunity. Responsible for applying Corporate guidelines and policies, such as requests for capital, volume rebates, etc. This position is intimately involved in very large proposals (>$1MM), most of which cross over multiple RRD printing platforms; Forms, Labels, RFID, Commercial Print, ISM, Sourcing. Responsible for preparing financial profiles (proformas), related economics/pricing, and write-up of business terms, issues, and key aspects for each opportunity. This position will have great exposure to all of the Variable Print platforms and will work closely with Presidents & Vice Presidents of Sales, Manufacturing, Finance, and other members of general management.

Responsibilities

  • Work is typically performed under minimal daily supervision, receiving guidance from the manager/supervisor about the work that needs to be completed. Able to exercise a high level of discretion and latitude in completing tasks.
  • Manages the internal routing process for RFP's/RFQ's. Evaluates & distribute to the proper RRD estimating platform. Conducts a strategy call with sales and estimating.
  • Assist in the development of a sales strategy with the sales leader. Provides language around pricing issues to sales in preparation of the sales proposal
  • Advises senior sales & senior manufacturing and general management of all major opportunities and related business issues.
  • Prepares a financial profile (Pro-forma), related economics/pricing, and write-up of business terms & issues for each opportunity and distributes.
  • Organizes and leads a call with sales presidents/VP's, manufacturing VP's, Finance & estimating leaders to review the final economics and business terms.
  • Provides input to legal for finalizing contract language around business and pricing terms.
  • Prepares account analysis & reviews as required and directed by the VP of Strategic Pricing or Sr. VP of Finance.
  • Responsible for reviewing contract language for comparison against what was approved during the approval process.


Qualifications

Skills and Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years of relevant work experience with demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements
  • Requires financial experience with demonstrated knowledge of accounting processes & rules.
  • Detail-oriented, logical, and common sense approach to business development and problem-solving.
  • Outstanding communication skills and strong computer skills.
  • Must be proficient in Excel.


Additional Information

The national pay range for this role is $74,600 - $132,500 / year. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
