We are currently looking for a strong leader to join our team and fill our Purchasing Agent position. The primary purpose of this role is to support purchasing and manufacturing functional areas.
What You Will Do
- Place purchase orders per reports, and requests
- Communicate shortages to production
- Research past due invoices and communicate to team
- Help gather compliance information from suppliers
- Maintain accurate purchasing lead times and cost in ERP system and work to reduce.
- Research for new supplier opportunities
- Data Entry
- Maintain specific commodity inventory levels
- Help with supplier non- conformance
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- High school or equivalent
What Will Put You Ahead
- 2+ years of experience in materials, purchasing or planning experience
- Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and Teams
- Operating system experience/Enterprise Resource Planning
