This position is located in our Deerfield, IL office with 3 days on-site collaborating with colleagues and the remaining 2 days in the comfort of your home office.

What you'll be doing

As a member of Baxter's Global Patient Monitoring team, you will be responsible for shaping the growth strategy of the business and propelling initiatives forward. A deep understanding of market dynamics, technology landscapes, and the competitive environment is critical to shape the portfolio pipeline and drive growth opportunities for the business. This person will work across the our global regions and functions to generate insights and advance sustaining product & innovation initiatives, including identifying unmet needs and opportunities for life cycle management as well as innovation projects and leading these activities from ideation through execution. We are seeking a dynamic and collaborative individual with a strong background in portfolio management within complex, global scales.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Research and analyze global/regional/country market conditions, including competitive environment to determine viability of products and technologies.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative market research to identify customer needs and trends in infusion therapy and monitoring.
  • Support life cycle management for the portfolio, ensuring availability and continuity of product while considering all aspects of product health & risk including, but not limited to, customer needs, technical requirements, commercial/quality/regulatory and manufacturing elements.
  • Strong influence on program/project strategy and planning, ensuring optimized business implementation and execution.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and processes related to product specifications, requirements, and life cycle plans.
  • Use customer insights to define product and program needs from an in-depth understanding of unmet market opportunities and trends.
  • Identify growth opportunities across the globe and support regional teams through execution of project objectives.
  • Serve as the marketing liaison across the Baxter business divisions, identifying and understanding potential intersection of the various portfolios; develop understanding of positioning, key benefits, and target customer segments.
  • Generate and evaluate both organic & inorganic pipeline opportunities based on strategic, financial, and commercial viability.
  • Perform scouting and landscaping projects to inform business development and licensing opportunities.
  • Collect & synthesize voice of customer at conferences, customer site visits, advisory boards, and other specific events.
  • Support marketing efforts for exploratory projects and new product development programs.

What you'll bring
  • BS/BA Required (or country equivalent); MBA or post graduate marketing qualification preferred.
  • 3+ years professional experience, preferably in healthcare technology related field.
  • Previous experience in portfolio management and data analytics.
  • Marketing background, lifecycle management, cross functional expertise and work with all the functions on core team.
  • Clinical experience and/or product marketing experience desired but not required
  • Ability to generate new insights partnering with global, cross-functional teams, including Medical, R&D, Regulatory, Quality and region/country Marketers.
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable working with variety of internal and external partners.
  • Motivated and action-orientated, with strong problem solving abilities.
  • Proactively operates between high level strategy & detailed analyses.
  • Strong analytical skills, including a confirmed ability to collect, prioritize, and analyze market data and customer insights to develop effective marketing strategies and communications.
  • Intellectual curiosity & analytical evaluation skills, with ability to grasp clinical concepts.
  • International and domestic travel up to 20%.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary range for this position is $96,000 - 132,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
