Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the DON has shared responsibility for directing the Clinical Departments and ensuring that policy, program and service is consistent with the Hospital's mission and values. Oversees and monitors compliance with Hospital/Corporate policies and procedures and various regulatory/governmental agencies. Manages the Registry program and assures staffing grids are maintained. Serves as primary back-up to Chief Nursing Officer.


Qualifications

Minimum BSN Degree, MSN preferred, with commensurate psychiatric experience.

A minimum of three (3) years experience in a leadership role in a hospital setting, preferably behavioral.

Licensed as a registered Nurse in Illinois. A thorough knowledge of JCAHO, Medicare, OSHA regulation and all other state and federal Regulatory standards.
