Position Overview

This National Sales Manager is responsible for assisting the Managing Director in multiple aspects of Equipment Finance from developing new opportunities, managing the front end for the Equipment Finance sales team, and customer service for the division.

The National Sales Manager is a producing manager responsible for leadership, direct business development and sales generation.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage the Regional Sales Managers and guide them in achieving goals of the leasing division while maintaining own minimum annual sales volume of $12.5MM.
  • Develop new leads or opportunities (existing customers) for the sales team to develop. Generate a minimum of 5 to 10 leads per month to be given to the sales team.
  • Learn the Salesforce environment or new front-end system.
  • Provide Salesforce training to team members and track their follow-up on new or existing opportunities you provide them.
  • Authorized to modify prepayment penalty fees as needed while ensuring positive outcome for the bank.
  • Authorized to modify documentation fees, when requested, if prudent.
  • Authorized to adjust rate over 250BP above monthly Cost of Funds.
  • Liaise with sales team, credit and Managing Director to discuss or appeal transactions.
  • Proactively cross-train in all areas of commercial lease division.
  • Adhere leases to highest standards of regulatory compliance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or other related field and 5 or more years in the equipment finance or leasing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Competencies

  • Experience motivating and influencing a team and customers
  • Proven success in cultivation client relationships and business development
  • PC experience including Word, Excel and Internet.
  • Works effectively independently and with a team.

Preferred, but not required

  • Management experience

The preferred candidate will reside within a commutable distance to the Aurora, IL location and work a hybrid work schedule, however there is flexibility to work remotely within another U.S. market.
