Software Engineering Manager role owns software engineering and QA testing responsibilities for the Covetrus B2B commerce site:and its EU based sister sites.The manager partners with Product and business stakeholders delivering value by providing a seamless commerce experience for Covetrus customers.Delivering a seamless experience includes working closely with other parts of the Covetrus platform including Integration Services, Application Security, DevOps, and several ERP systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Foster an engineering culture focused on creativity, quality, and accountability in planning and delivering customer valued features and experiences.
• Work with stakeholders ensuring short- and long-term goals are understood by individual contributors.
• Communicate and assist platform teams in planning and delivering required upsteam and downstream integrations from the commerce platform.
• Manage direct reports through coaching, mentoring, and inspiration through strong leadership skills.
• Build and maintain a production support team structure and processes.
• Run and manage cloud infrastructure partnering with DevOps team.
• Take ownership of vendor partner relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years in the software engineering industry.
• 5+ years' managing direct reports.
• 5+ years' experience building and/or leading multi-channel eCommerce applications.
• 5+ years' experience delivering within agile development methodology.
• Bachelor's degree in IT related majors or concentrations.

COMPENTENCIES:

• Experience with multiple software languages: Java, Go, Python, Javascript.
• Fluid yet direct verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough experiences in building B2B commerce experiences.
• Intimate knowledge surrounding manual and automation Quality testing.
• Ably navigate priorities with strong project management skills.
• Working experiences with running containerized applications within multiple cloud providers.
• Demonstrated ability for building observability and monitoring into application team's skill set.

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location.
