Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE: The Original Equipment + Supply (OE/S) Light Duty Account Executive position is responsible for managing and growing existing OE/S programs, developing, and closing new OE/S opportunities, and establishing relationships with purchasing, marketing, sales and engineering representatives of Light Duty Original Equipment Manufacturers.
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage and grow existing Light Duty OE/S program including promotional development, sales strategy, product training, field work, and pricing management.
  • Responsible for prospecting, developing relationships, and securing new OEM and OE/S programs.
  • Partner with OWI technical representatives and OEM engineers on new product introductions, formula validations, product approvals, field tests, and KPI's.
  • Collaborate internally with cross functional team members to help drive market and product strategy based on light duty OE trends, new and emerging technologies, and customer feedback.
  • Develop new relationships and opportunities by networking, attending OEM and industry trade shows, and actively participating in OEM associations.
  • Ongoing development and understanding of new and emerging technologies in the OEM space, with the intent to use that knowledge to promote new opportunities, product solutions, and sales growth.
  • Intimately understand customer's environment, market, and strategic priorities to build value propositions and solutions.
  • Work internally to coordinate, develop, and manage request for information (RFI) and request for quotation (RFQ) opportunities.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

  • 7-10 years' sales experience working directly with Light Duty Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) purchasing, marketing, sales, and engineering teams.
  • Must have established relationships with OEM's and in-depth knowledge and understanding of the OEM market and competitive landscape.
  • Thorough and in-depth knowledge of antifreeze technologies, washer fluid, DEF, heat transfer fluid, ICE engines, BEV applications, fuel cell, and new/emerging technologies.
  • Ability to become proficient in new and emerging technologies related to the automotive industry, ICE engines, and BEV applications.
