Job Description

The Business Transformation Specialist is responsible for physician and practice data analysis, providing actionable information to assure operating efficiency and improved margin performance. In addition, the Business Transformation Specialist will be responsible for managing and facilitating process improvement projects as determined by the Director of Operations.

Job Relationships

  • Reports to the Operations Transformation Manager

Principal Responsibilities

  • Analyze non-clinical performance opportunities, prepare scope documents for management.
  • Responsible for using a broad range and Analysis tools to meet the needs of stakeholders, leaders and teams across the organization which supports decision making, strategy, performance improvement and other key goals by providing valid, relevant and quality decision support analysis and reports.
  • Proficient in understanding and utilization of Change Management.
  • Establish project teams, facilitate meetings, display willingness to make decisions, exhibit sound and accurate judgment, and include the appropriate people in the decision making process.
  • Conduct workplace observations and interviews to collect qualitative and quantitative data for improvement efforts, identifying barriers.
  • Utilizes critical thinking and problem solving skills to interpret data, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and strengthen processes.
  • Document solutions, procedures and standards for clients and internal use.
  • Provide consultative and analytical expertise to all levels of the organization to help in planning, initiating, executing and closing out projects.
  • Respond promptly to client needs and solicit feedback to improve service, meet commitments and provide follow-up within a timely manner.
  • Ability to explain physician practice data analysis results to physicians and leadership in a positive manner that builds trust. Provides performance data to leadership team to allow for monitoring and ongoing improvement.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in software and solution methodologies, as well as other core technologies.
  • Build strong relationships and instill confidence and trust at all levels of the organization including providers.
  • Attends workshops, seminars and other training programs for educational growth.
  • Comply with the Springfield Clinic incident reporting policy and procedures.
  • Adhere to all OSHA and Springfield Clinic training & accomplishments as required per policy.
  • Provide excellent customer service and adhere to SC Way customer service philosophy.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with minimum of three (3) years' experience in health-related field.

Licenses/Certificates

  • Project Management certification preferred.

  • Ability to understand and realize the Clinic's initiatives in relation to projects.
  • Experience facilitating organizational teams, gathering objectives from stakeholders, establish work estimates for project resources.
  • Proven use of technology to assist in planning and organizing project status and communicating with involved parties.
  • Proficient in system analysis, procedure analysis and problem resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of information systems/healthcare concepts, and terminology.
  • Proven ability to analyze project requirements to define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business objectives.
  • Proven experience working with multiple stakeholders in a problem-solving environment.

Working Environment

  • Work is performed in an office environment and requires desk work.
  • Will travel to various facilities.
