Certified Surgical Technician - Vascular Specialty - Part Time

The Surgical Technologist serves as a primary scrub person or assistant for operative procedures.

Job Description

  • Assist the Registered Nurse with circulating duties as needed to carry out the implementation of appropriate interventions.
  • Scrubbing, setting up cases, passing instruments, and assisting the physician.
  • Works with circulator, orderlies, and other room staff to perform post-case cleaning duties.
  • Cut suture material as directed by the surgeon and apply electrocautery to clamps on bleeders under the direct supervision of the surgeon.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a Surgical Technologist program or have comparable military training.
  • Certification is required.
