Job Summary

A Student Personnel Manager for the Department of Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality is an exciting position with excellent opportunities for learning and growth. This position will work closely with the Assistant Director of Employment and the Administrators of the units they are assigned. This position conducts orientations, tracks student discipline, facilitates schedule changes, and maintains student employee files. Other duties many include but are not limited to answering questions and/or directing inquiries via telephone or email, various office tasks, attending hiring events, completing reference checks, and completing federal I-9s. This is a highly demanding job working directly with the EMDH employment team.

Pay Rate

$15.00/hour

Required Qualifications

- Ability and willingness to work no less than 4 full semesters upon hire.
- Understanding of and willingness to enforce EMDH mission, vision, goals, policies and procedures.
- Interest in working with a diverse staff and serving a diverse population of clients and guests.
- Demonstrate a service-minded, approachable, friendly, enthusiastic attitude and inclusive appreciation of all student workers.
- Ability and willingness to learn, take constructive feedback, apply it to work, and participate in a team environment.
- Ability to provide a history of demonstrating professional integrity, dependability, and adaptability.
- Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to take initiative, work independently and adapt to situations as they arise.
- Ability to demonstrate planning, organization, and record keeping accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
- Human Resources, Accounting, Communications or Business major preferred. (Though all majors will be considered.)
-Ability and willingness to work during summer break.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel is helpful.

This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and if applicable, an employment history review, based on University Policy 3.1.30 and any offer of employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation and/or an employment history review.
