Position Profile

This position will work out of the Accounting department in the Springfield, IL corporate headquarters.

A Day in the Life of a Cash Disbursements Clerk at Hanson

Here's a snapshot of what you would do in this role:

  • Processing of accounts payable checks, ACHs, and employee expense reimbursements.
  • Processing subconsultant vendor invoices through an integrated workflow system.
  • Processing customer payments and bank deposits.
  • Completion of various registration forms for clients and vendors.
  • Assist with management of project contracts.
  • Various other bookkeeping, clerical and department tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For

We feel the following qualifications would set you up for success in this role:

Education/Training:

  • Position requires a high school education with a minimum of 2 years-experience in a similar position.
  • A two-year degree or commensurate experience is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Computer skills required include Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience working within an ERP system or other automated workflow systems is preferred
  • Ability to learn new computer and technical skills

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to develop and present concepts.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
  • Must be able to build effective relationships with internal and external client bases.
  • Professional and effective communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiativeto meet deadlines.

  • Must be able to collaborate remotely with colleagues in other offices.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
