Overview

Dietitian

Full Time and PRN Openings

Rock Island, IL

Plans and provides patient nutritional care; performs nutritional assessments, calculates nutrient needs, and educates/counsels patients/families; and participates in the development or revision of departmental policies and procedures and in planning and conducting in-service education programs. Functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate nutrition care plans based on the patient's diagnosis and individual needs.

Responsibilities
  • Functions in direct contact with patients, health care staff, and physicians, and the general public, maintaining good relations with all.
  • Uses various computer systems, including EMR, Online Nutrition Care Manual, MS Office, etc. High level user of healthcare information systems.
  • Works independently and with initiative to seek information to coordinate activities and follow through on tasks.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Preferred or Specialized

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nutrition/Dietetics

Dietetic Internship or CDR approved equivalent

MA or Medical Training.

Experience:

Experience with computers

Experience with patient nutrition care

Experience with customer service

Experience with Electronic Medical Records

License(s)/Certification(s):

CDR Registration as Dietitian

Iowa & Illinois Licensure as Dietitian

Advanced Certification in specialty area

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Able to speak, read, and comprehend fluent English.
