We leverage a wide range of cloud services to achieve our strategic objectives and are in search of a dedicated Cloud Solutions Engineer to establish, assist in designing, monitor, and optimize these systems within AWS and Azure environments.

Scope Summary:

This position is tasked with driving revenue and expanding CompTIA's State & Local client base, both new and existing, within a specified territory. The role involves identifying and cultivating relationships with State & Local organizations, maintaining and growing existing accounts, understanding client needs, building product and service solutions, and discovering new business and market opportunities. A thorough understanding of our company's products or services, a strong grasp on market dynamics, solid networking capabilities, and proficient communication and negotiation skills are essential for success in this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Close business to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual bookings goals.
  • Use industry trends to understand customer pain points and align solutions based on customer needs.
  • Conduct meetings with decision makers and influencers within the client and speak as a leader in this space.
  • Develop key customer stakeholder relationships and drive customer satisfaction at assigned accounts.
  • Develop and drive the overall long-term strategy for the account, aligned to customer objectives.
  • Coordinate internal CompTIA resources including marketing, operations, client services to ensure strategies are aligned with the company's overall objectives and work together towards successful client outcomes to meet customer business needs.
  • Perform account planning at assigned accounts, to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Drive growth within an existing assigned account includes regular communication, timely follow-ups, and productive meetings to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Attending industry events, conferences, and meetings to network with potential clients and partners.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of business development activities - this includes tracking metrics and analyzing data to inform future strategies.

    • Distributors / Resellers / Partners that hold State & Local Contracts
    • State / Administration Government Departments
    • State Funded Organizations
    • Municipalities / County Departments
    • Local / Administration Government Departments
    • Local Government funded Organizations
    • Public Works (DoT and Utilities)

    • Public Health
    • Indigenous Organizations

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of State / Local Sales experience
  • Formal sales training and understanding of the sales cycle (Plan, connect with customer, investigate needs, validate need, propose solution, demonstrate value, negotiate, close, implement)
  • Experience with selling solutions to State / Local organizations
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales quota

Key Performance Metrics:

  • Maintain and exceed monthly revenue objective.
  • Development of consistent territory pipeline.
  • Drive account engagement and activities leading to positive business engagement.
  • Monitor, track and analyze territory performance.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in:

  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM or equivalent - Track, update, and manage sales pipeline in Dynamics CRM.
  • Microsoft 365 (Office) Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneDrive
  • Consultative and solution/value selling approach meeting new and existing revenue objectives.
  • Demonstrate strong business development, negotiation, and communication skills at the client decision making level.
  • Excellent research skills and develop in depth knowledge of your prospect's/customer's business, organizational structure, and business processes to grow sales.
  • Exceptional track record in advanced enterprise sales with proven over-performance.
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication abilities, facilitating clear and persuasive interactions with both clients and internal teams
  • Works effectively within a team, balancing individual responsibilities with the needs and goals of the wider team and company
  • Shows adaptability in changing market conditions and a problem-solving approach to overcoming account challenges
  • Demonstrated successful planning and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to multitask and work well within tight timelines
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Demonstrated ability to work, communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
