The Fermilab Infrastructure Services Division (ISD) Logistics and Property Control Department (LPC) is seeking a Deputy Manager. This team provides services including, but not limited to, inventory control, logistic services, and excess/surplus disposition.

You will:
* Assists the LPC Manager in overseeing LPC operations, work planning, procurement, management reporting and personnel development. Participates in the development of department goals and objectives and assigns / directs the work of the LPC employees to meet these goals.
* Acts on behalf or assumes full responsibility during the LPC Manager's absence, including participation in meetings and decision making of LPC policies and procedures and provides advice to FESS section management as required.
* Assists in the management of the Laboratory Personal Property Management System, which includes Fleet Management, to stay in compliance with laws, regulations, DOE Orders and the Fermilab Prime Contract.
* Oversees the management of the import / export of tangible products. Coordinates applying for license exceptions with appropriate agency and communicates these restrictions with appropriate parties.
* Prepares reports from Property and Fleet Management applications using querying tools for analysis and reporting to Laboratory Management and Department of Energy.
* Direct supervision of the Traffic, Receiving and Mailroom operations.
* Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
* Abides by and is responsible for performing all duties in accordance with all environmental, health and safety regulations and practices pertinent to this position.

We are looking for:
* Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field with a Minimum of 5+ years of experience, preferably within a not-for-profit or government environment.
* A strong understanding of Government Code of Federal Regulations for property and fleet management, transportation, and export control compliance.
* Strong reporting and relational database skills including Excel, Access, and other financial tools.
* Knowledge and experience with Oracle EBS, or similar large-scale financial system, and Oracle OBIEE, or similar data query tool is preferred.
* The ability to interact efficiently with scientific, technical, business, and administrative personnel throughout the Laboratory and User community.
* Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively and courteously with a diverse workplace population.
* Excellent organizational skills including the ability to independently coordinate and accurately implement multiple time-sensitive tasks under deadlines and/or with little advance notice.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including a shown interest in attention to detail and comprehensive record-keeping.
