Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Chastain & Associates LLC (Chastain) has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer - Transportation working with public or private infrastructure projects. Qualified candidates will work in a collaborative environment with our team and alongside clients from private to municipal, state, and federal jurisdictions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in Civil Engineering infrastructure planning, design, and/or construction
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Illinois.
  • Experience managing, leading, and mentoring colleagues 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage street, site, highway, and bridge projects, including federal, state, and locally funded infrastructure.
  • Oversee geometric, traffic, drainage, and site development projects.
  • Interpret plans, drawings, and specifications while providing coordination, direction, and quality control/quality assurance.
  • Manage subconsultants, direct field operations for surveys, studies, construction observation, and project documentation.
  • Manage contracts, budgets, and schedules.
  • Identify opportunities, work with a team to prepare and submit proposals, statements of interest, and statements of qualifications.
  • Manage and maintain client relationships, interact with agencies and professional organizations, and cultivate business and professional connections.
  • Manage, maintain, and grow a team of technical staff
