WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Retirement Plan Participant Advisor II is responsible for planning, determining and facilitating communication with retirement plan participants through group presentations and individual consultations. Participant meetings may be done in person, on the phone, or through web-based conferencing.

Additional Duties:

  • Serve as support to new and current relationships within the Retirement Plan Services area in Wealth Management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with plan sponsor clients, determining education and communication plans for their employees and participants
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with retirement plan providers, discussing enrollment, education and communication options and needs with the platforms.
  • Stay informed of industry best practices for participant engagement.
  • Cultivate relationships with participants by delivering personalized service and responding to plan-related questions.
  • Develop materials for both sophisticated and average plan participants.
  • Engage in dialogue which guides participants in making informed investment decisions and educate them on the advantages of participation in the company sponsored retirement plan; may involve problem solving and follow up.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships by providing participant advisory services, including financial planning and investment advice both on-site and in our offices.
  • Perform engaging individual and group enrollment/education presentations.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of current retirement plans.
  • Support regular communication with plan sponsors and plan participants.
  • Work with other associate to identify and suggest areas of improvement to policies and processes as well as service levels.
  • Collaborate and support the larger Busey organization by making referrals and joint calls to other departments.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • Requires Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business or Finance.
  • Understanding of investments and ability to simplify them for plan participants.
  • Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Retirement plan industry specific designation preferred or attainment of such within one year of hire.
