Visiting Clinical Research Coordinator

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Illinois at Chicago is looking to fill a full-time Visiting Clinical Research Coordinator position for the Schizophrenia Research and Clinical Trials program at University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center.

The Project Coordinator will help with clinical trials of new treatments for schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders. This involves working with treating clinicians, patients, university administration, and outside sponsors to successfully recruit and follow-up research subjects. The Project Coordinator needs to have excellent organizational skills and also excellent interpersonal skills working as part of a research team. Clinical experience with persons with serious mental illness and/or research experience in clinical trials are very desirable.



A Bachelor's degree in nursing, mental health, psychology, pharmaceutical sciences, social science, public health or a related field and at least one year of experience in a research discipline is preferred.

The ability to manage multiple tasks, strong interpersonal and customer service skills, and one year of professional work is highly preferred. Active listening skills, the ability to demonstrate compassion and professionalism, excellent communication and organizational skills are strongly desired.
