Position/Internship Description

Student Intern I

This Chicago based internship program in Portfolio Management & Transactions is designed for students evaluating a career within Corporate Real Estate or Finance.

The internship will provide the Student Intern with practical work experience in performing financial and opportunity analysis, real estate acquisition and disposition techniques and business case development. The Student Intern will be exposed to various concepts and processes relating to the optimization of a corporate real estate portfolio The Student Intern will be introduced to interpersonal relationships and collaboration techniques for evaluating and executing complex real estate strategies within a cross-functional corporate real estate organization.

Ideal candidates will be working toward a college degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.

Experience: No experience required.

Required Qualifications:
  • Must be in the process of pursuing a 4-year degree
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office products including Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook
  • Must possess both outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to clear a criminal background check, driver's license check and drug test
  • The successful candidate will be able to perform the following with or without reasonable accommodation:
    • Ability to operate a personal computer, wireless equipment, copier and fax
    • Ability to work flexible hours, which will vary based on event support
    • Ability to work in the evenings and on the weekends
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds during event set-up
    • Ability to travel within New York City, Northern New Jersey and Long Island
