CREDIT ANALYST MANAGER-Arlington Heights, IL

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the management of credit analysts for the Commercial Real Estate Group. This includes overseeing the maintenance system of credit files $250M and up, including financial statement tracking, borrowing base analysis, financial statement analysis.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage team of credit analysts in one or more locations
  • Distribute and monitor workflow
  • Provide training and guidance in completion of credit analysis
  • Coach to support development of trainees
  • Partner with Commercial Banking Officers to provide optimal sales and credit focused learning opportunities for trainees
  • Implement and oversee maintenance system of credit files $250M and up, including financial statement tracking, borrowing base analysis, financial statement analysis
  • Assist Commercial Area Sales Manager in handling of client relationships
  • Basic portfolio responsibility: maintain and support business with existing clients
  • Prepare monthly production and exception reports
  • Work with other commercial and retail bankers to support the business needs of clients
  • Participate in all required training sessions for compliance
  • Maintain adequate controls to ensure compliance with consumer protection statutes/regulations in a defined area of responsibility
  • Implement bank-directed policy and changes relating to regulatory amendments
  • Attend Loan Committee meetings as required
Maintain an active role in training of credit analysts/CRMT trainees in conjunction with Training Department

Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business related major with at least two accounting courses
  • Minimum 3 years commercial credit experience
  • Skills and experience should be commensurate with successful completion of Levels I, II and III as defined in the Commercial Relationship Manager Training Program
  • Supervisory/management experience highly preferred
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all areas of credit analysis
  • Able to perform complex credit analysis and prepare clear
  • Able to complete written and oral presentations
