We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to work in our Pleasant Prairie, WI office, located just north of the Wisconsin/Illinois border. We will also consider our Rosemont, IL office as a possible location for highly-qualified individuals. The purpose of this job is to manage an accounting portfolio of single and multi-unit auto parts clients, where the Accountant reviews monthly compilations and discusses monthly compilations with clients. Other duties include financial and tax reporting. The Accountant provides personalized services and counseling to business owners, manages client expectations, collaborates with other team members to organize work and ensure deliverables are met, and helps transition new clients onto the company’s services. These services are accomplished through reviewing, analyzing and delivering financial statements, managing accounting staff, and developing and enforcing accounting policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities will consist of business development to promote industry growth.

A public accounting background is preferred, though not required. The candidate must have excellent presentation and communication skills, and strong team leadership ability. We are looking for extroverted personalities who want to and have the confidence to speak with clients on a daily basis in a variety of situations. The ability to manage priorities and functions, and an understanding of and experience with personal computers, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel software, is required. In addition, a 4-year degree in accounting or business with an accounting/finance focus and general experience with accounting software is preferred. CPA is a plus. At least a 2-year Accounting Associate’s degree, 3-7 years’ accounting experience, and a good understanding of a computer network environment is required. Income tax knowledge, and familiarity with MAS 200, FRx, and Quickbooks is a plus.
