| The buyer purchases production parts, non-production parts, services, raw materials and whole goods that are complex and require a moderate to long lead time. Implements complex strategies, systems, and policies and procedures which lead to improving quality, decreasing costs, improving technology and timely delivery performance. Forecasts/reports economic savings performance and evaluates supplier price increase requests. Investigates, analyzes and provides negotiation support. Analyze purchased part prices to determine cost parameters. Responsiblities: Develops and implements global supplier strategies that will drive commodity improvements and quality cost and delivery. Negotiates and implements cost savings to meet or exceed material cost and total cost reduction objectives. Forecasts/reports monthly performance of material economics/cost saving objectives; advises management of risks/opportunities. | |
| Bachelor's Degree in Business, Integrated Supply Chain managment or related field or equivalent work experience. 2-6 years of related work experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, analytical and problem solving skills, and computer skills.
