Description

The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. We are currently seeking a Mobile Applications Support Analyst for our Information Technology (IT) department in the Chicago office.

Purpose

The Mobile Application Support Analyst will learn and understand the AHA business objectives, strategies and programs. The incumbent will maintain content and support the AHA intranet portal application and perform quality reviews on various software development tasks for 16 event applications and two to many other mobile applications. The Mobile Application Support Analyst will perform programming tasks: write code, test, and document forms, procedures and other documentation needed for multiple existing and new applications. The Mobile Application Support Analyst will participate in departmental meetings, projects, and functions, and will adapt to varied situations while working on multiple projects and priorities ensuring the delivery of a quality product. The Mobile Application Support Analyst will report to the Senior Systems Analyst.


Essential Functions

  1. Support and maintain the content management, maintenance and testing of 16 mobile applications and perform bug fixes and enhancements to the application.
  2. Must learn the QuickMobile platform and be able to learn any additional mobile application platforms chosen in the future to provide support.
  3. Use web design skills and iOS and Android operating systems to assist with building and maintaining new mobile applications.
  4. Design and develop new mobile apps in iOS and Android platforms and support existing apps.
  5. Design and develop web components and applications using PHP / Java / Javascript / HTML and SQL Attend meetings such as requirement meetings, team meetings and department meetings to gather information for support or projects.
  6. Interact with multiple internal organizations in AHA to provide service in the Mobile Application space. Includes; PMGs, AONE, HRET, Health Forum, AHA, and may include other internal organizations.
  7. Learn current Saas based applications that AHA uses and assist in the support of selected applications.
Requirements

Qualifications

  • A BS degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Web Development and course work in Mobile Applications.

  • 1-2 years of experience designing, developing, testing and delivering mobile applications with strong experience in developing native applications for iOS and Android; Experience of Object Orientated Programming (OOP) Java, C++ .

  • The candidate should be able to reference Apps they have done both in the App Store and Play Store.

  • A track record of delivering well-crafted software solutions.

  • Experience in REStful web services API Test Driven Development (TDD) and agile environment experience preferred.

  • Oral, written, and presentation skills are required.

  • Analytical and research skills including the ability to research a topic and present findings and recommendations.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.

  • Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment with changing priorities.

  • Familiarity with hosting tools such as Amazon.

  • Proven ability/proficiency in: Web development - Java, PHP, XML, iOS and Android Development experience; HTML, css, Javascript programming experience MS Office Applications, Social Media.

  • Experience working with website measurement and analysis tools, such as Google Analytics.
