POSITION PURPOSE: Efficiently designs and delivers clinical/technical custom reporting and data-entry solutions for customers of Merge products utilizing internal tools, xml, html and/or Adobe java scripting. Participates in clinical/data workflow analysis and process re-engineering. Assists internal and external customers in defining data informatics needs and designs and delivers reports utilizing direct database query, Crystal Reports, Microsoft SSRS and/or IBM Cognos.
JOB OVERVIEW
Merge Clinical Reporting team provides support for multiple Merge product lines. Each team member is expected to support 3 products: 1 as a lead, 2 as backup. This position is seeking an individual who can fulfill a Cardiology lead position. Training may be provided on additional skills. The ideal candidate is will clinically experienced, confident in their communications with members of the medical community and able to translate clinical requests into technical requirements. He/She will be comfortable with software solutions, including design and implementation. He/She will lead internal and external customers in defining Best Practices and process improvement in clinical structures reporting and data informatics.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ TASKS: Leads site customization and deployment of Merge Cardio Reporting solutions utilizing Merge internal tool sets/some xml. Major specialties include Invasive Cardiology, Adult and Pediatric Echocardiology, Noninvasive Vascular Imaging, Nuclear Medicine, Electrophysiology. Works closely with Merge Project Management in the Reporting facets of customer projects: customer and internal meetings and presentations, testing coordination and support, goLive support. Provides significant input into designing solutions to support clinical practice, IAC accreditation and data registries. Provides Cardio data-mining support by the design and creation of Microsoft SSRS reports. * Provides Radiology, Perioperative, medical practice/EMR support with the creation of Crystal reporting * Provides Radiology and Financial support with the creation of IBM Cognos reporting Provides Orthopedic medical practice support with Adobe java-scripting
REQUIRED SKILLS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience required. * Demonstrated clinical experience (medical imaging, nursing, or comparable industry experience in equipment or IT design/deployment). Cardiology, Echo, Vascular or Nuclear a plus. * Demonstrated technical experience (some or all: sql, MicrosoftSSRS, Crystal Reports, IBM Cognos, xml/html, Adobe). * Demonstrated system design experience (product management, DB design) * Must be able to juggle multiple high-level projects * Must be comfortable presenting to small/mid-size groups * Workflow and business process reengineering experience a plus * Travel 0-25% Merge Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
