The International Relocation Assistant (IRA) will provide general support functions for International Moving Services Operations. The IRA will be responsible for shipment tracing, customer service, documentation handling (preparing, collecting, distributing), & downstream cost containment for HHG's international shipments. The incumbent will have contact with Customers, Agents, Vendors and Port Brokers while working very closely with the International Relocation Consultant position.

The successful individual will leverage their knowledge and experience in (function or business) to...

  • Documentation Handling: Responsible for arranging all shipping documents & processing with Customers, Agents, Vendors and Port Brokers. Required to fax, email or mail completed standard forms. (30%)
  • Shipment Tracing: Update SCAN and GlobalCom tracking systems daily and process shipment prompts. Prompt will inform you of what next steps are in the process. (40%)
  • Keep Customers, Agents, Vendors and Port Brokers informed of status changes in a timely manner. (20%)
  • Assist IRC with resolving shipment issues as required. (I.e. missing documentation, delayed shipments, etc.) (10%)


The accomplished individual will possess...

  • HS Degree
  • Undergraduate Degree Preferred
  • Ability to speak multiple languages a plus, English speakers a must
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Goal Oriented
  • Excellent Communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment where work direction will be provided by multiple people (Matrix Environment)
  • 1-2 Years of customer service or transportation experience preferred
