Conduct individual career advising appointments including assessment, career path options, resume review, mock interview and offer and salary negotiation. Assist graduate and undergraduate students with the identification of internship and employment opportunities available through the Business Career Center.
Develop, coordinate and facilitate career related activities and events including panel workshops corporate office hours, employer visits, mock interviews, and on-campus interviews from employers. Market and promote these careers related and career preparation activities and events to graduate and undergraduate students including resumes expos and career fairs.
Create and maintain career development materials in print and electronic format for distribution to students.
Solicit and collect feedback from students, professionals, alumni and employers. Benchmark the best practices of career service functions and corporate university relations departments Initiate new programming for continuous improvement.
Participate in cross functional department training and team projects. Represent the Business Career Center on various committees and college wide initiatives.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
1. Four years of placement experience that included the consulting and placing of college or university graduates into different job
A Bachelor's Degree or 120 semester hours and one year of placement experience that included the consulting and placing of college or university graduates into different job categories
Master's Degree a minimum of three years of work in corporate recruitment, university relations, career services or related area. Direct experience with career planning, counseling of students, campus recruitment and internship and employment practices.
