| Description | 2013 Summer Diversity Internship Program Credit Analyst/Commercial Lending Intern (Commercial Sales) 10 Weeks / Paid Program Dates: June 10 to August 16, 2013 Program Description Our Summer Diversity Internship Program will provide you a meaningful introduction to a career in Commercial Sales with real responsibilities. From the moment you join us, you will be a vital member of the commercial team. You will focus on live projects and gain insights into our bank and business. Throughout the 10-week program, you will work closely with the credit analysts and lending staff to assist with the preparation of credit write-ups, financial analysis, and basic lending practices. You will learn first-hand how our lending staff meet the needs of our clients. In return, we will monitor your success through formal assessments at the middle and end of the program. The assessments will evaluate your work and contributions; which will assist with your career development. Responsibilities As an intern in the Summer Diversity Internship Program, you will be given opportunities to learn about commercial banking, which includes the following: 1. Work with Moody's financial spreads 2. Assist with financial and insurance tracking 3. Calculate and track covenants 4. Interpret loan approvals and input file information into the database 5. Assist in maintenance of database and reporting system 6. Request financial information from customers as needed 7. Retrieve and research information for loan approvals and inquiries 8. Work with other areas of the bank to help coordinate customer inquiries and loan requests 9. Obtain basic credit information on businesses and individuals and incorporate findings in presentations for loan approval where appropriate 10. Assist in completing various reporting projects for the Regional Credit Officer and others in Commercial 11. Attend sales meetings to observe new business development with clients Requirements The Summer Diversity Internship Program offers highly motivated and successful individuals an opportunity to hone skills while working in a diverse environment. We are seeking talented college students of diverse backgrounds to support the Commercial Sales Department. To be eligible, you must possess the following requirements: 1. Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Finance or Business 2. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 3. Undergraduate student at a Junior or Senior standing by Fall of this year 4. Completed a minimum of one Accounting course with a grade of C or better. Must provide college transcripts, if interviewed 5. Strong desire to work in commercial sales 6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 7. Demonstrated strong analytical and leadership skills 8. Proficient with Excel and Word Note: All of these duties will be completed with the proper level of supervision.
