This position will support off-road vehicle platforms in North America as the engine technical expert. Responsibilities * To provide technical support for FPT engines which are used in current production applications and new products under development * Coordinate junior level Application Engineers activity in the field and provide guidance and support. * Perform installation audits and final sign off to ensure product integrity * Provide engine selection/installation consultation in off-road diesel applications - meeting engine application guidelines * Interface with OEM's and FPT platform engineers for needed modifications of existing or new engines and systems * Conduct product training sessions to increase OEM'S platform knowledge of the engine's features and benefits versus the competition * Perform technical product benchmarking in collaboration with OEM's platforms Required skills * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural or Avionics Engineering * Minimum 3 years of Product Engineering experience * 1+ years experience in diesel engine design, engine performance, or vehicle applications * Demonstrated skills in communication of technical data and project information * Ability to travel 25-50% to support above defined activities Desired skills and experience * Engine electronic control experience * Experience with engine installation, application, and testing * Knowledge of Microsoft Office products * Knowledge of Spanish or Italian language both oral and written * AD experience a plus * Strong prioritization skills, including ability to manage frequent changes * Flexibility in dealing with changing and/or partial information * Excellent team skills including project leadership * Strong problem solving skills | |
